Between April 6, 2025 at 14:48UTC and April 6, 2025 at 16:39UTC, Documentation Portal was temporarily unavailable due to an external dependency failure. All customers were unable to access docs.uipath.com during this period.
Failure to properly handle the scenario where an external dependency becomes unavailable led to a client-side exception error across multiple Documentation Portal pages.
The issue was immediately detected by our synthetics alert.
Upon detection, the team quickly identified the root cause and implemented a safeguard to ensure the portal remains functional even when the dependency is unreachable.
This mitigation restored service and prevents recurrence of similar outages from the same dependency.
To prevent similar incidents in the future, we are reviewing all external integrations and dependencies to ensure graceful failure handling.
