Incident Report for UiPath

Postmortem

Customer impact

Between July 30, 2026 at 9:07 am UTC and July 31, 2026 at 8:13 am UTC, a subset of customers experienced degraded behavior in UiPath Apps authored from Studio Web. Expressions in newly created apps failed to evaluate, which could prevent those apps from working as expected.

The impact affected a subset ofStudio Web customers in the Europe Region, other regions, and services were not impacted. Existing deployed apps continued to work normally.

Root cause

The root cause was an internal software component update deployed the previous day. This update caused expression evaluation to fail for newly deployed UiPath Apps authored from Studio Web, producing an internal software error during expression processing.

Detection

The issue was detected through an automated alert for the Studio Web Apps service on July 31, 2026 at 7:29 am UTC. Customer impact was declared within two minutes of detection, initially assessed at multiple regions and after downgraded to only Community Region.

Response

At7:32 am UTC, the initial impact description was shared: expression evaluation was failing in Studio Web Apps, while older deployed apps continued to work. At 7:43 am UTC, a public status update was posted noting that degraded performance was under investigation for UiPath Apps authored from Studio Web in multiple regions, later impact being downgraded to only Community Region.

By 7:59 am UTC, a corrective update to revert the software component change was prepared. At 8:00 am UTC, the fix began rolling out to affected regions, and the incident was marked mitigated after 30 minutes and 36 seconds. At 8:13 am UTC, the fix had been deployed across all affected regions, Apps performance had returned to normal, and the incident was marked resolved.

Follow up

  • Strengthen pre-production testing so regressions are caught before reaching production.
  • Enhance monitoring to faster detect packaging/publishing issues that are resulted due to compiler.
